Moths

This is an interesting moth that I found hanging on the facing of the patio door one day. I am not sure just what the proper name for this moth is, but it looks kind of like the Acraea Moth. I thought I would put a picture up and perhaps someone will have the correct identification. If not, hopefully I will get a book on North American moths and find the ID myself. As you can see from the picture the with trim on the door frame is about the same color as the white on the moth. It was just luck that I happened to pick this one out since I wasn't looking for bugs at the time. This is just an example of some of the things you can find in your backyard if you take the time to look around. I know that there are many interesting and beautiful moths in our area and hopefully over time I will be able to get pictures of them on this website.

Yellow Striped Armyworm Moth

I don't know if that is the name for the moth, but it is the moth that comes from the Yellow Striped Armyworm so until I find a different name for it I will use that here.
